I would like to take this opportunity to thank LMI and one of our new members for the pleasant and very surprising Father`s Day gift I recieved this afternoon.
Awhile back, she had posted a question about what to get her dad for Father`s Day. Merely wishing to be helpful, I suggested a fret file. I needed one myself and was trying to come up with funds for one, and didn`t give it much thought afterward.
Lo and behold, when she came by my house today, she presented me with-you guessed it- a new fret file! I never had a clue. Therefore I think it appropriate to just say:
Amber,
Thanks ever so much for the pleasant surprise! You never cease to amaze me with the things you do and have accomplished at such an early stage in your adult life. Your pleasant personality, thoughtfulness, and determination to succeed in life-not to mention Paul, (my first grandson) make me so proud to have you as my daughter!
Love,
Dad

Tell Amber that I like Brazilian rosewood.
And Ziricote.
And Curly Koa.
And....

Well, just tell her. We'll see where it goes from there.

And I`m supposed to be the hard-nosed son of a gun in the family!
What, no violin clips for drama?
Steve, your on your own, man. If there`s one thing ya can`t do, it`s getting between a dad and his daughter, especially when there might be wood involved in the deal!
